Biography
Dr. Hatem Mohammed Al-Shamea is an Assistant Professor of English Literature and the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of ALT Literary Press Ltd. His research spans world literature, translation studies, and comparative literary analysis, with interdisciplinary interests in colonialism, decolonial theory, religion, gender, and political discourse.
He completed his postdoctoral research at the University of Reading, where he taught two MA courses in comparative literature and translation. A prolific author and translator, he has published eight books, numerous scholarly articles, and translated seventeen works across English and Arabic literary traditions.
Dr. Al-Shamea holds a Ph.D. from The English and Foreign Languages University (India) and is an Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (AFHEA). His work is committed to fostering cross-cultural dialogue and advancing global literary scholarship.
